These itineraries cover both the highlands and the islands. Emphasis is given to unique cultures and traditions, flora, fauna and the scenery. It covers exotic areas of the Trobriand Islands known as the "Islands of Love" and the fierce warriors of the highlands "Huli's" of the great Tari basin in the Hela Province and the famous Asaro Mud-men of Goroka and not forgetting the volcanic Rabaul, home to the Tolai's as they are commonly known.
Our itinerary as shown below reflects these most spectacular and colourful people reflecting their unique cultures and traditions.

TOUR WST001P - EXPLORE PNG (14 DAYS/13 NIGHTS):

DAY 1 - SUNDAY
Arrive Port Moresby, after customs and immigration formalities, you will be met and transferred to your onward flight PX274 Port Moresby to Rabaul. Upon arrival at the Tokua airport in Rabaul, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight: Kokopo Village Resort (2 nights)

DAY 2 - MONDAY (L)
Full day tour of the Rabaul and Kokopo areas including visits to sites of interest such as the Japanese Barge Tunnel, Tavurvur Volcano and hot springs, Bitapaka War Cemetery, Kokopo Museum, beautiful Kokopo market and volcano devastated Rabaul town.

DAY 3 - TUESDAY
Transfer from your hotel to the Tokua airport, Rabaul for your flight PX275 Rabaul to Port Moresby. Upon arrival at the Jacksons airport in Port Moresby, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon city tour including visit's to the Nature Park, National Parliament House (outside view), National Museum, downtown Port Moresby and other sites of interest.
Overnight: Gateway Hotel

DAY 4 - WEDNESDAY (LD)
Transfer from your hotel to the Jacksons airport, Port Moresby for your flight PX864 Port Moresby to Tari. Upon arrival at the Tari airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon visit's to Tari town and surrounds.
Overnight: Yangoman Guest House (3 nights)

DAY 5/6 - THURSDAY/FRIDAY (BLD)
These days will be spent touring the great Tari Basin and surrounding villages. These people are great warriors who live in this great basin as they have for thousands of years. They are popularly known for their colourful face painting decorations and beautifully designed human hair wigs. The culture and traditions of these people are very unique and spectacular compared with other highlands provinces. The tour will be complimented with traditional Huli Wig men sing-sing (dance).

DAY 7 - SATURDAY (BLD)
Depart Tari for your expedition, travel by road Tari to Mt Hagen and onto Jiwaka Province. This will be an interesting drive along rough terrains, valleys, gorges with beautiful scenery and fast flowing rivers and natural waterfalls.
Stopover in Mendi, the capital town of Southern Highlands Province for a quick lunch and continue your tour to Mt Hagen. Mt Hagen is the capital town of Western Highlands Province, passing through the Mt Hagen town, then proceed onto the lush and fertile Waghi Valley to the Jiwaka Province.
Overnight: Jiwaka Mission Resort (2 nights)

DAY 8 - SUNDAY (BLD)
Full day tour of this lush and fertile valley with visits to large floats of tea and coffee plantations and factories, well laid village homesteads and learn of their lifestyles, way of living, traditions, customs, marital status and rituals. A full traditional sing-sing will compliment the tour.

DAY 9 - MONDAY (BL)
Today you depart this beautiful valley for a full day tour Jiwaka to Goroka. Travelling along the highlands highway, one of the longest highways linking the coast and the highlands, passing through Kundiawa town, the provincial capital of Chimbu Province and through the beautiful Chimbu gorge, you arrive at the top of Daulo Pass (2748 m) above sea level. Here an excellent view of the Goroka town and Asaro valley.
You then descend into the Asaro valley, where you have the rare opportunity to see the eerie ritual performance of the famous mud mask men "Mud-men" performing in their natural environment.

DAY 10 - TUESDAY
Transfer from your hotel to the Goroka airport for your flight PX961 to Port Moresby. Upon arrival at the Jacksons airport, Port Moresby, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon visits to Bomana War Cemetery and Sogeri Plateau with beautiful Rouna Falls.

DAY 11 - WEDNESDAY (LD)
Transfer from your hotel to the Jacksons airport for flight CG1644 Port Moresby to Losuia (Trobriand Islands). Upon arrival at the Losuia airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon visit's to Kiriwina town and nearby villages.
Overnight: Kiriwina Lodge (2 nights)

DAY 12 - THURSDAY (BLD)
Full day tour of the Trobriand Islands (islands of love). Visits will include villages and their way of living and lifestyles, marital status and ceremonies or travel to Kaibola beach where you relax at the beautiful white sandy beaches. A traditional dance will be included.

DAY 13 - FRIDAY (BL)
Transfer from your hotel to the Losuia airport (Trobriand Island) for your flight CG1645 Losuia to Port Moresby. Upon arrival at the Jacksons airport in Port Moresby, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 14 - SATURDAY
Transfer from your hotel to the Jacksons airport for your international departure flight.

TOUR WST002P - HIGHLANDS SAFARI (7 DAYS/6 NIGHTS):

DAY 1 - SUNDAY
Arrive Port Moresby, after customs and immigration formalities, you will be met and transferred to your onward flight PX960 Port Moresby to Goroka. Upon arrival at the Goroka airport in Goroka, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight: Bird of Paradise Hotel

DAY 2 - MONDAY (LD)
Today will be a full day scenic tour travelling along the Highlands Highway Goroka to Banz, Jiwaka Province. En-route you have the rare opportunity to visit the eerie ritual dances of the famous mud mask men "Asaro Mud-men" performing in their natural environment.
The tour then proceeds to the highest peak of Daulo Pass at (2748m) above sea level. A excellent view from the top overlooking the Goroka town and Asaro valley. After a brief stop, you descend into the beautiful Chimbu gorge. You pass through Kundiawa town, the provincial capital town of Chimbu Province. Tour continues along the highway to Jiwaka Province, home of the country's Tea and Coffee producing province.

DAY 3 - TUESDAY (BLD)
Full day tour of this lush and fertile valley with visits to large floats of tea and coffee plantations and factories, well laid village homesteads and learn of their lifestyles, way of living, traditions, customs, marital ceremonies and rituals. DAY 4 - WEDNESDAY (LD)
Your adventure begins, a full day tour Banz, Jiwaka Province to Tari. Passing through Mt Hagen, the provincial capital town of Western Highlands Province, the tour continues along the highlands highway travelling through rough terrains and beautiful gorges. With spectacular views and excellent sceneries, fast flowing rivers and natural waterfalls you proceed to Tari, home of the Huli wigmen.
A brief stop in Mendi for lunch and proceed onto Tari.
